The Student Programs of Clear Lake Performing Arts - a summary

The Lake County Youth Orchestra is open to all Lake County children who want to participate in an orchestral group. It currently consists of string students, but in the future may include winds, etc.

The Financial Assistance Program provides financial assistance for individual music students based on merit or financial need. It is also available to schools or groups for special projects.

Elementary school Programs - are designed to bring combination art, music, and theater presentations to classrooms.

School Concert Program - To offer middle and high school students music programs featuring CLPA concert series artists.

College Scholarship Program - provides scholarships for College or University expenses. The scholarships are earned by participation in Mendocino College Lake-Center Lake Co. Symphony or the Mendocino College Symphonic Band, both under direction of John Parkinson. The award is $1000 per year of participation. Our budget currently allows for 5 scholarship students.

A related public schools program - The Lake County Schools String Students Program - administered by Mr. Wes Follett for students in Lake County schools.
